Malad West – Potential End To The Search for An Ideal Home in Mumbai!
4 February 2016
Living in a democratic country like India, I have always enjoyed staying in Mumbai, which embraces people from diverse backgrounds, without any fuss. I come from the Malad (West) area of Mumbai, which is pretty huge in itself. Having spent the entire 30 years of my life in one of the flats in Malad West with my family, I can say I could not have settled down at a much better place in Mumbai. And I shall tell you the reasons why I find Malad West region to be an ideal place to stay in Mumbai.
Malad West has ample number of parks like Liberty Garden, Adarsh Garden, Evershine Garden, Inorbit Garden, and so on. My family does not spend a dull moment during weekdays or weekends with easy access to most of these parks. Also, we manage to get tickets for any movie at the last moment without any travel or advance booking, as this region has a range of single screen theatres and multiplexes like MovieTime, PVR Cinemas, Inox, Cinemax, Kasturba, etc.
My Sunday mornings are mostly spent with friends at one of the many beaches like Aksa, Marve beach or Manori. And Sunday evenings are mostly reserved for family dinner at any of the popular restaurants that we have near our home. We are spoilt for choices with different types of restaurants like Flags, Alka Vihar, Greens, Zaffran, Northern Tadka, Srinathji, Konkan Swad, Pop Tate’s/ Jughead’s, Pizza Hut, Landmark, etc.
To shop for literally anything, we either go to the famous Natraj market or one of the several malls like Inorbit, Infinity 2, The Mall, etc. The presence of these malls has increased the property prices for projects in Malad West. Even for our wedding, me and my wife did all the shopping from stores like Bawree, Arvind Khatri, Jayesh Jewellers, etc.
We hardly have to step out of Malad for anything, other than meeting our relatives or friends living in other areas of Mumbai. We have decided to settle down here, as this area caters to the recreational as well as educational needs of our kids quite easily. For all types of boards (IG, IB, ICSE, CBSE, SSC), we have schools like D.G. Khetan International, Witty International, Orchid, Ryan International, Dr S Radhakrishnan Vidyalaya, etc. For junior college, graduation and even management studies, we have colleges like Durgadevi Saraf, N.L. college, etc.
I consider myself lucky to live in a joint family and possess a couple of additional properties in Malad West. In fact, even my in-laws are planning to shift from Andheri and wish to live in one of the several flats in Malad West. For this purpose, we are checking out the high quality residential options offered by Bharat Infra’s new building project titled ‘Optimus’.
Hope the above information about Malad West region of Mumbai helps you take an informed decision about the location of your ideal home. Thanks for reading!
